It's Grand at the Grand Wailea Resort.

  Happy Halloween!  This inspired me to blog about a wonderful resort that you and your kids will just love.  This fantastic playground is called the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa.  This enormous property located on the island of Maui will have your kids completely entertained while you indulge yourself at their 50,000 square foot spa.  Yes it is grand and divine.  If the spa is not your thing and you'd rather lounge about, the adult pool offers a great place to relax and take in the pacific ocean views and perhaps enjoy a refreshing cocktail.

  The endless slides and waterways at this resort will have you and your family entertained for hours.  While going through the connected slides you will meet this special lizard.  Make sure you rub his head for good luck and post me a comment when you do!

  After rubbing the Mo'o's head you will be greeted on the left to the Grotto Bar.  You'll most likely meet Richard who has been the bartender on all the trips I have been there.  He is an awesome guy and pours amazing drinks!  Don't miss him at the Grotto Bar.  It closes at 5 pm.  

   After your fun filled day playing in the pool I suggest you grab dinner at their fabulous restaurant named Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.  It is named after Hawaii's State Fish.  This restaurant has the freshes lobster and other tasty dishes.  It is truly a unique ambience and a great place to dine.  Try the Ahi Traps appetizer a.k.a pupu's.  They are delicious!

P.S.-  If you can get it, check into room # 3128.  It's a great room with fantastic ocean views, (the above sunset photo was taken from there) a walk in closet and this tub. = )
